How to Share Interactive Product Demos with Prospects

Give prospects full access to your real product — customized with their data, running in a secure cloud browser. No screen sharing, no sandboxes, no risk of exposing credentials.

The problem with every demo format

Sales engineers have been trapped in a series of bad tradeoffs when it comes to sharing product experiences with prospects:

What prospects actually want is simple: let me use the real product, with my data, and see what it would be like if I were a customer.

Viewer sessions: the real product, customized and shared

Cap Artist’s viewer sessions solve this by combining three things that have never been available together:

  1. Your real, logged-in product — not a sandbox, not a recording, not a clone. The actual application running in production.
  2. Customized for the prospect — AI-generated rules rewrite company names, metrics, industry data, and page content across every page and API response.
  3. Fully interactive access via a secure link — the prospect clicks, navigates, and explores freely in a cloud browser. No installs, no proxy setup, no credentials exposed.

How it works

1. Customize your demo in Cap Artist Studio

Browse to your product, tell the AI what to change (“replace Acme Corp with Prospect Co, set revenue to $2.4M, add 1,200 active users”), and accept the generated rules. The proxy rewrites every HTTP response in real time — JSON APIs, HTML pages, chart data, everything.

2. Create a viewer session

Click “Create Viewer Session” in the Publish tab. Cap Artist spins up an isolated cloud VM running a full browser. The browser connects to your product through the same proxy that applies your customization rules. Your session cookies are encrypted and injected server-side — they never reach the prospect’s browser.

3. Share the link

Send the viewer URL to your prospect. They open it in any browser and see your product — fully logged in, fully customized, fully interactive. They can click through dashboards, test features, navigate between pages. It’s the real product experience, not a simulation.

4. Edit rules live

Here’s where it gets interesting: while the prospect is exploring, you can edit rules in Studio and the changes sync to the active session in real time. Disable a rule, tweak a metric, add a new transformation — the cloud browser clears its cache and reloads automatically. The prospect sees the updated version within seconds.

Security model

The prospect never has access to your credentials. Here’s how:

Use cases

Leave-behind after a live call

The demo call ends, but the prospect wants to show their CTO. Send them the viewer link. They explore the product on their own schedule — same customization, same data, fully interactive. No need to schedule another call.

Multi-threaded deals

Different stakeholders care about different things. The VP of Sales wants to see pipeline metrics. The ops lead wants to see integrations. Send each a viewer link to the same customized product and let them find what matters to them.

Conference follow-ups

You just gave a killer booth demo. Instead of a PDF, send the prospect a link to the actual product — still customized with the data you showed them on the floor. They remember the experience, not a document.

Remote teams and async deals

Not every deal happens in real time. Viewer sessions work across time zones. Set up the demo, share the link, and the prospect explores when they’re ready. Session durations range from 15 minutes to a full week.

Team controls

For SE teams on the Team plan ($79/mo), viewer sessions come with additional controls:

The result

Your prospect gets to use the real product. With their data. Fully interactive. And you didn’t give them your credentials, spin up a staging environment, or record a single video.

That’s the demo experience every sales engineer has wanted to deliver. Now you can.
